My Printer Is Pausing/Freezing During a Print

If your MakerBot 3D printer is pausing frequently or freezing during a print, your toolpath is probably too complicated.

The toolpath is the set of instructions your 3D printer uses to build your object. Each instruction is a command for the 3D printer, and when it receives too many commands too quickly, they might take longer to process than to execute This forces the printer to pause as it waits for new commands.

There are several things you can do to reduce toolpath complexity, depending on the specific cause. The most common source of extra complexity is infill.

How do I reduce infill complexity? My infill is simple/sparse
