What Temperature Is My Extruder?

    Print Temperature

During printing, your Smart Extruder+/Smart Extruder will be heated to about 215º C. You can see the exact temperature by selecting the Extruder icon on the control panel or by opening MakerBot Print’s printer monitor panel during a print.

To print an object at a different temperature, click the Settings in MakerBot Print. In the Add a Custom Setting section, select Extruder and then Extruder Temperature to add this setting to the main Print Settings section and then adjust the temperature setting.

    Allowing the Extruder to Cool

Always allow the extruder to cool to a temperature of 50º C before removing it from the MakerBot Replicator or before the MakerBot Replicator is turned off. Allowing the extruder to cool helps to prevent extruder clogs.
