Updating Firmware

    When to Update Firmware

MakerBot Print will notify you when a new firmware update becomes available. Keeping your firmware up to date will help ensure that your MakerBot Replicator Z18 runs as smoothly as possible.

    How to Update Firmware

When MakerBot Print lets you know that an update is available, go to the printer monitoring screen and click on Utilities; from there, select Firmware Update. This will let you know the current Firmware version the device has installed and will provide you with the Firmware versions you can update to. You can also browse on your computer for any downloaded updates.

NOTE: If your printer's firmware is currently below 2.0, you will need the MakerBot Desktop software to successfully update the firmware.
