Updating Firmware

MakerBot is no longer actively developing firmware for the MakerBot Replicator 2. The most recent firmware available is Replicator Firmware 7.6.

NOTE: If your Replicator 2 is currently on firmware version 7.5 it is NOT necessary to update to 7.6.

    How to Update Firmware

To download and install this firmware, follow these steps:

    1. Click here To download Replicator Firmware 7.6

    2. Make sure your MakerBot Replicator 2 is connected to your computer via USB cable.

    3. In MakerBot Desktop, go to Devices> Update Firmware.

    4. Click Browse and navigate to the location of the downloaded file. Select the file and click Open.

    6. Click Update Firmware. It will take a little while, but soon you should see a message saying that your firmware has been updated successfully.

**Note: If you are using MakerBot Print, you will have to download MakerBot Desktop to update the firmware successfully.
