Printing an Object from MakerBot PrintShop

    Printing Directly

If you have a Replicator 5th Generation printer, a Replicator Mini, or a Replicator Z18 you can use MakerBot PrintShop to send a file directly to your connected 3D printer.

    1. Create your model, or select an object you’ve already created or purchased from the My Stuff section of the app.

    2. Tap Print. If you haven’t already connected your 3D printer to MakerBot PrintShop, follow the prompts to connect your device.

    3. Tap Confirm Your Print. The print monitor panel will open. Tap Start Print. You can also pause, cancel, and change filament from the print monitor panel. Tap Utilities to see printer information, enable remote monitoring, run the attach smart extruder script, disable filament jam detection, or stop monitoring a printer.

While the object is printing, you can continue to use MakerBot PrintShop. Tap the “Printing” icon in the bottom right corner to return to the print monitor panel at any time.

    Printing Through MakerBot Desktop

Printing your model through MakerBot Desktop allows you to change the scale and position of your model and to export in different formats. When you create a model, make sure your iPad is connected to the Internet and then tap Save. The model will be saved to your MakerBot Cloud Library as a Thing. You can find the model in MakerBot Desktop by navigating to Library > PrintShop. Then prepare and print the object as you normally would.

NOTE: MakerBot Printshop is NOT compatible with the MakerBot Print software. Please use the MakerBot Desktop software to access your Cloud Library.
