I am finishing the build of my TOM and was working through the last bugs on the test and setup page. The ABP conveyor was not functioning and after checking my setup over and over again and finding nothing wrong it just started to work. Unfortunately the temperature sensor for the ABP has gone from reading and controlling perfectly to giving a temp of 48579 degrees c. I was concerned that this was a sensor failure so I took a heated torch a very tiny one held it about 6 inches away and blew hot air over the table sure enough the temperature went up proportionally to when the thermocouple was working properly. it seems that the zero point is just waaay off and Im not sure what is causing it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

I have exactly the same issue....everything was working after some issues with stepper drivers changing step then the heated build platform registered 1024 degrees c. I checked the thermistor and it seemed ok. Changed the extruder board for a new one that I had still same thing .. what is the problem
OK I emailed makerbot for this after doing some tests. My problem was that the resistance values in replicatorG were messed up somehow. So the solution was to reset these to factory which makerbot said was" The default settings are Beta = 4066, Thermistor Resistance = 100000 and Base Temperature = 25." try that but be careful because with bad thermo values you could burn out the board
GOOD LUCK
My heated build platform also reads 1024 degrees C. My settings are default to the numbers Dan Kuchan suggested but mine still will not work.
getting 1024 readout also. Found on the A6 analog port that the 5 volt supply was not present. A2 and A3 were OK. Seems to be a problem on the board. Waiting to here from Makerbot for suggestions. Replicator G settings are default as Dan mentioned.
I'm also having the 1024c issue. Any updates on this?
I'm getting 132.0c without any change.
Found my problem too. The Thing o matic assembly showed the thermistor connection with the white wire toward the outside of the card. My white wire is the "signal " wire from the cupcake ABP. Apparently the wires are different when the Thing 0 matic ABP was designed.
Anyway everything works now with the White(signal) wire on the opposite side of the connector (toward the inside of the card.) It would have helped if the connector was labeled or schematic was referenced.
So my wire order is Black= Ground, Green = 5V, White = Signal;
5V-----4.7K-------Signal------110K thermistor-------Ground
at room temperature
Card Edge [Ground ] [5V ] [Signal ] Card Middle
Hope that helps

I am also getting a temperature reading of 145 degrees at room temperature.
If I tell the control panel to heat the platform past the current temperature, I can see the red led go on and feel the platform heating up.
I looked at Tool Head on board preferences and saw that
beta is 4066
Resistance is 1000000
and the base temperature is 25 degrees.
The ABP will not heat up.
Just for fun, changed the resistance down to 1500. I know it was dangerous. The platform heated up and I was able to get extruded plastic to stick to the belt.
But there is no way that the ABP stayed within a safe temperature under those conditions.
Does anyone know where adjust or zero out the build platform input temperature?
