Hi,
I'am a german teacher for Mathematics and Natural Science at a school for Designers.
I would like to keep my students in touch with a complete chain of creating 3 dimensional objects from an idea via different steps thru a printed 3D prototype.
The Thing-O-Matic is quite the "missing link" to become able to print the design prototypes.
In Germany many companies are offering special offers for schools or universities. I'am not sure if this is also the case in the USA.
That's the reason why i would like to ask, if there are such offers or not?
(Please don't get me wrong: I'am really impressed by the work of all MakerBots and the Thing-O-Matic is in my opinion far away from being expensive. So if there are no such offers, that’s O.K. to me. But if i going to spend money from my school i feel that i have to ask for such programs before i order one.)
Thanks in advance for an Answer
Greeting from northern Germany

Hi, my name is Victor from Lima, Peru. We are having a new Fab Lab here, and we really want to buy either the Cupcake or Thing-O-Magic. I have the same question as Ingo Schinz.
About Lima, we are in a public university, so in order to buy any product we must follow a kind of complicated process. I would also like to know to contact you directly...
Regards.

Yes contact can be made! But is it in a timely manner, within an eight [8] hour business day.
Some people need to learn to be patient when they are asking for a discount...
I am making a smartphone robot using 3D printer for sale in crowdfunding. It would help to advertise the use the 3D printers. Would you consider discount and help speed up the shipping time (since I plan to launch my project shortly) ? Thanks
We are ready to purchase. I need a federal tax id code from Makerbot
