From current wording on other units, it seems the small bread-loaf Thingmaker was announced before pieces for it (including MK7s) were secured in adequate numbers to meet demand. Unofficial Word is they will be back in stock this month. (we inherited a half-built Cupcake from a dear friend who succumbed to a cancer after 8 years - and couldn't see finishing it with an Original Cupcake head - at least we finally got the parts to kludge it upwards, a 5th stepper control add-on board ($35 or so vs. $350 for all-new electronics burrito), a more power! relay board, six optostops and a 1.75 mm plastic pusher - even a reel of natural(?) ABS monofilament.

I *also* wish (especially with the possibility of dual-heading things) that we could buy here, or direct from an alternative source, 5K reels of a cheap base color and 1K and 1/4K reels of a lot of colors (and either manually changing plastic or tweaking control software to do the outer layer in opaque intense color, and the rest in the least-expensive possible (within reason) roll of bulk filament, and get some sort of discount on a multi-color set rather than grabbing a color here, a color there as the stuff becomes available.

I have had a Mk7 on wish list since 20th Nov.
The Mk 5 I have is not working so have had a frustrating few months.
