Can I pickup my MakerBot and avoid the cost of shipping?

Hi,
I live in NYC and could probably make it out to your Brooklyn address. Do you let people pick up purchases to avoid shipping costs? or is this just making everything extra complicated, I have a knack for that.
Also you seem to be currently sold out of the Thing-O-Matic when do you think you will restock? Days? Weeks? Months?
